| The unions, along with bad designs, are killing them. They say they cannot build at a profit in the U.S. (applies to Ford as well) yet Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, etc. continue to expand their manufacturing here in the U.S. Hyundai is kicking their but in the mid size, look at the new Sonata, not a bad car for it's segment. Beats the snot out of any competition by GM. Ford is doing well with the Fusion and Five Hundred in that segment though. I have always wondered what the GM engineers/designers were thinking. I mean, how in the name of all things holy could they ever have thought after looking at it that the Chevy Impala (gen prior to the current one), that hideous Pontiac SUV thingy (which GM spent more on ADVERTISING than they received in TOTAL revenue for sales of it!), etc. that they would sell? SHEESH!
